CHAMPIONING HEALTH AND HUMANITY

Bridging Science and Service for a Healthier Tomorrow

Combining scientific rigor with community outreach, I strive to bridge the gap between research and real-world impact.

My goal is to not only spreading awareness of Endometriosis but also to redistributing surplus food from restaurants to homeless shelters and providing Surplus Medical supplies to the small clinics and shelters ensuring that no resource goes to waste.

About

ABOUT ME

I'm Anushka Jain, a passionate researcher and advocate based in San Antonio, TX. As a student at Northside Health Careers High School,I co-founded a nonprofit organization Dream Donations with my brother that focuses on bridging the gap between surplus food and those in need. By connecting local restaurants with homeless shelters, we’ve created a sustainable system that not only reduces food waste but also provides essential resources to those who need them most. Working with Dr Shah, I realized that often wound care supply goes waste. Expanding our mission to collecting surplus supplies from patients/clinics/hospitals and redirecting it to nonprofit clinics and shelters. I am partnering with hospital and clinics to spread the word to their patients. Beyond my community service, as a passionate researcher I’ve dedicated myself to understanding the complexities of Endometriosis, conducting independent research that challenges existing theories and explores new avenues for treatment. My work in the lab is driven by a deep curiosity and a commitment to making a real-world impact on women’s health.

  • Explained them concepts they didn’t understand in class and clarified any misconceptions

  • Motivated them to ask questions

  • Assisted them with homework assignments by guiding them and promoting them to answer the questions

  • Adjusted to students’ differing levels of understanding and learning types

  • Encouraged students to self-advocate when they don’t understand a concept
